微軟向商業用戶發布的現今Windows部署計劃中措詞有了少許的變化，不再是之前的單純的“Don’t wait for Windows 7”，更多的取決于用戶的部署周期，但是該消息的底線是，不管你是決定使用Vista還是等待Windows 7，都沒有停止使用Windows XP重要。

本周微軟官方承認用戶目前處于矛盾之中，需要關于短期部署該采用哪款Windows產品的問題方面的指導，為了使事情更加清楚，該公司更新了他們為商業用戶提供的Windows指導。

微軟Windows產品部經理GavrIElla Schuster，在Windows團隊博客上發布了“Guidance on Windows Deployments for Business Customers”，為商業用戶提供詳細的指導：

Schuster稱，“我并不是擁護Vista或者Windows 7，我只是說他們應該停止使用XP。”

微軟將從今年4月份開始停止對XP SP2的支持，2014年之前停止對SP3的支持，他還稱，許多軟件開發商已經開始逐步停止對他們的XP程序提供支持。

“一般來說，企業在他們的系統環境部署500-5000款不同的軟件，他們得清楚這些軟件在XP上能提供多久的支持，而獨立軟件開發商將為這些程序提供Windows 7新版本。”

與此同時，她還補充道，商業用戶應該購買MDOP(微軟桌面優化包)，他可以將之前的授權程序遷移到新系統中去。(MDOP僅向擁有微軟軟件認證的用戶發布)。
